I've been to N/a 'an ku se two times thus far and the time I was not there I missed it all of the time. I am so completely in love with N/a'an ku se, it's hard to imagine. Every day at the farm is a new adventure and to be this close to the animals makes me so happy. N/a'an ku se really loves their animals and their needs always come first. It's so amazing to see their work and to be involved in it. And the staff cares about this project so much and are really keen about making the volunteers an important part of it. My favorite part of this place is the baboons. The baboon walks and being the babies mother for the night, to let them sleep in your bed. Baboons are such a misunderstood animal in Namibia, people see them as a pest but they are animals full of love and compassion. Marlice once told us that baboons can see into your soul and I really believe that. They can tell what your intentions are and how you feel about them. If you love them, they'll love you back. One of the best days of my life was when I got to go with two staff members and pick up a new baby baboon named Chrisi. Even though we found her in a cage and she was so scared I could see straight away that she's special. She was the most beautiful creature I've ever seen and we bonded so quickly. It was my job to take care of her in the car and her first day at the farm. On the ride home back to N/a'an ku se she was in my arms the whole time and I couldn’t stop looking at her. It was love at first sight. You don't get these moments often, the moments that fills your heart with warmth, but at N/a'an ku se you get them 10 times a week. If I could I would stay here forever.
